conditions, is reported hy Mr. Rob
erts, who came to Medford Sunday
from the apple districts of Wash

Speaking of the Improvements
planned by the railroad he repre
sents Mr. Roberts said, "The offi
cials are particularly interested in
airplane service, being the first
railroad to hack air-rail service
from coast to coast, reducing the
time from four to two days. I am
referring t the Trans-Continental
Transport. This company as well
as ot Iters, is const an My studying
conditions to see where the service
may be extended to meet the pub
lic demands."
Mr. Roberts Is in Medford to
establish contacts with the growers
and producers to bring them more
closely together Witlt the Pennsyl
vania railroad, which now handles
a tremendous amount of fresh
fruits from this section. "While
the company does not have rails
out to t his country, one manage
ment feels It is a distinct part of
Med font and surrounding country
since it reaches litis section thru
