Announcement was made today
of the leasing for temporary occu

Repairing and re-arranging of
the building has been started and
the store will be in the new loca

I). It. Greene, manager of store
No. 433, says the company had a
tease on the corner of the Deuel
building, recently destroyed by
fire, had expected to nunc thereto
June 2nd. and the new location is
one of emergency.
The first Safeway Store was
opened here four years ago and
increase In business necessitated a
second store being opened on West
Main street, which is in charge of
A. G. Anderson.
J. F. Mashburn Is manager of

what probably is the final chapter.
The ease was suit to (Ulet title

Ry the opinion, written by Chief
Justice Coshow, which Is the denial
of a rohuaring asked by the plain

by Justice Kami last January.
Ilouck Is held to be only an heir
to the property equal in rights
with tho other heirs.
Many years ago J. G. Houck
entered Into n contract with his
parents, David and llilah K. Ilouck
whereby they were to deed hhu
the farm on condition that he take
care of them the rest of their
lives. There was controversy as to
whether the son lived up to tho
agreement. After the death of his
father he brought suit against his
mother to quiet title. In the lower
court for Josephine county he was
upheld by Judge F. M. Calkins, in
I'Mii, but the supreme court. In an
opinion by Justice Johns in l!Hit,
reversed the lower court.
Later the mother died, and In
I92it Ilouck brought suit against
his brothers and sisters, one broth

against him. Tn iho lower court
Judge C. M, Thomas held against
him, and this decree was affirmed

These reductions are made because the factory expects to announce in the
Fall new cars which, though the same in size and of practically unchang
ed appearance, will have enough changes to. classify them as new mod
els, The new cars, like those we are now offering, will, of course, have
straight eight motors exclusively.
The new prices give today's purchasers a very great price advantage, and
also immediate use of the largest selling and most popular car in the fine
car field.
Now, it is even more true by four hundred dollars ($400) that you are
paying for a Packard. Why not own one? You will never have a better
opportunity. , ( ,, ; , ,,, .
, 't u. Two-thirds of those who buy the Packard Stand'
ard Eight give up other makes of cars. Thousands
prefer to buy out of income. Your used car will
be accepted as cash and if of average value will
more than make the down payment on a new car.
