Do you know
Kotex is inconspicuous?
I - TVS
YOU can'c imagine what a relief
it is to know that your sanitary
protection is inconspicuous, that it is
fashioned to fit correctly, leaving no
revealing outlines under the closest
fitting gown.
Made of wonderful material
Kotex is hycienically safe. It is
made of CelTucotton (not cotton)
stbsorbent wadding. The advantages
of Cellucotton are so great that 85
of the leading hospitals now use it
in preference to fine surgical cotton.
Cellucotton, remember, is not cotton
but a cellulose substance which
has 5 times the absotbency of cotton,

Arguments In the damage suit
of Mrs. Carrie . Hill against M.
H. Mamaker, truck operator, for
approximately $11,000, for inju
ries alleged to have been sustained
as the result of an auto accident
near Eagle Point a year ago, be
gan today, with Indications the
case would be In the bands of the
jury by mjd-nftornoon. Two pre
vious trials resulted in mis-trials.
Yesterday Afternoon and this
'morning were devoted principally
to medical testimony by Dr. C. T.
Sweeney, who attended the plain
tiff following the accident, and
Dr. .1. C. Hayes. Mrs. Hill under
went an examination yesterday
afternoon, and had X-ray photo
graphs? taken, for trial purposes.
She avers she sustained broken
ribs, a dislocated shoulder blade,
and spinal injury as a result of
the accident.
Testimony was presented to
show that Mrs. Hill had declined
in weight from 1(!5 pounds at the
time of. the crash, to 130 pounds
at the present time, nnd that she
was now unable to perform house
hold and farm tnsks as previously.
Dr. Hayes testified that In bis
opinion, her present weight of 13!)
pounds was more desirable than
IB 5 pounds, and more near her
proper weight.
The plaintiff? counsel held this
was rigid weight reduction and
questioned Dr. Hayes at some
length on tho medical angles, In
volved. It was brought out that Mrs.
Hill, before the accident, perform
ed her housework, tended to the
chickens and turkeys, looked after
numerous details of .i farm home,
and, when emergency arose, "had
even gone into tho field and pitch
ed hay," none of which she was
now able to do.
