(Special.) Central Point people
are glad to note the progress being
made in the erection of a now
hotel by Andre Chomel. It is on
the lot north of the Associated
gasoline service station. The new
hotel will be a 14-ioom building.
Later Mr. Chomel intends to build
a group of cottages.

night at the Washington school
under the direction of Clayton
Isaacs and Mr. Burke. More drums
will bo needed to yil the unit and
they are requested to all turn out
next Thursday at the school at
7: (Ml o'clock sharp. There Is also
an opportunity for a few more
buglers to enter.
Special instruction is being given
in bugling so that those scouts
who .will compete for tlte Sterling
silver bugle to he awarded the
troop which produces the best
bugler may prepare for that eon
test.! The prize bugle is donated hy
Mr. Isaacs of the Palmer Music
Mouse and will be competed for
annually until some troop has won
it for the third timo when it will
become the permanent possession
of thaj, troop. The bugle will he
engraved with the name and date
for each troop which wins it.
The drum corp will have a
demonstration at the field meet to
be held Saturday, May 24th. The
contest in bugling will also be
staged at that time.
