Parks of Sams Valley and locul and vis iting descendants hy blood and marriage, Mrs. Leo. B. Williams was hostess at a dinner party Wednesday evening nt her home on Tieddy avenue. An excellent dinner was served, graced by Mm. Parks. Seated on each side of her were six of her surviving children, A. B. Williams. C. R. Williams, J. H. Williams, Mrs. R. H. Heegmiller, Mrs. H. A. Barwlck and Mrs. R. A. Boyles. It was the first reunion In many years when . the guest of honor was surrounded by so many of her children, and the occasion was more than of passing moment to Mrs. Parks, In the company four generations wero represented by the families of two grundchildren. After dinner bridge and pinochle were the diversions of the eve ning. The event was most happily enjoyed by all present. At the Hallowe'en party, given at the high school Friday evening by-the Girls" league, the freshmen : and-Tnembers ot the .faculty who are teaching hero for tho llrst time , were Initiated. 'A formal inltiution was conducted by the officers of: the league, - each .one--telling some of the ideals and pur poses of ths organization.' The freshmen were given copies of the Girls' league creed. A short infor mal initiation was also conducted. A very enjoyable program was given, which Included a short Bkit by each of the classes. The fresh men were awarded the prize. Their act had us Its eettlng a cabaret, known as Coffee Anne's Tavern, where they were celebiat ing the 39th anniversary. La Vonne Anderson gave a Jazz dance, Margaret Warner played a saxo phone solo, the four "gobs" sang the "Dance of the Paper Dolls," and seven chorus girls who were dressed in green and white gave a dance. The patrons and patron esses were dressed in evening at tire, and Anna Mae Fuson, mas ter of ceremonies wus dressed tn a black and white suit. For the sophomore number, an old-fashioned country school con ducted by Mary Edmlston, and a number of boisterous sophomores made up the class. The Juniors conducted a coun try store, with Helen Wilson us storekeeper. . The usual number of gossips were continually inter fering with the love affairs of a young couple. "Shot at Sunrise" was tho title of the act put on by the seniors. A number of crippled soldiers who had been wounded in the war were lounging around,- a number of whom were in a serious condition. When It was announced that the Armistice had been signed, . the entire group got up and danced around. Miss Ruth Luy's dancing class sang and danced the Break-away, which was greatly enjoyed. Miss Roberta Stearns was chairman of the program committee. Following the program, the re mainder of theevening was spent dancing, and refreshments .of cider and doughnuts were served.
