To Visit Hero.
Mrs. Reginald Flfer returned
this week from Hollywood, Calif,
to remain until January 1, when
she will return to fill a year's
contract with a : motion picture
studio. Mrs. Flfer has been work
ing In pictures for over two years
under her stage name of Gladys
La Rant.

The Senior girls of the local
high school will entertain the
mothers of all seniors nnd the fac
ulty members at a Hallowe'en sil
ver tea Tuesday afternoon at the
high school In the domestic art
rooms, from 2:30 to 0.
The program will Include several
numbers by the Girls' Leugue or
chestra In charge of Miss Helen
Wilson. The other members are
Margaret and Louise Osenbrugge,
and Dorothy nnd Maxlno Plttinger.

luncheon for which Mrs. Pauline

Hotel Medford, The wedding will
be an event of the fall season.
After the luncheon the guests
went to the home of Miss Davis
where bridge was enjoyed. Mrs.
Glenn Smith held high score and

Humphrys. The club decided to
meet the second and fourth Wed
nesday of each month. The first
meeting will be a tea and the
second a luncheon which will be
held at the homes of the mem
bers. The organization voted to help
Miss Burr In supplying the rural
children with correct shoes and
underclothes nnd to assist in sup
plying them with proper clothes,
so the children can attend school.
The next meeting will be on
Wednesday, November 13 at the
home of Mrs. D. A. Chambers on
West Eleventh street.
There nre twenty-six members
enrolled in the club.

New Xorris Drama
On Jladio Tuesday
A large 'number of local radio
fans are expected to tune In on
the Copco Players presentation of
"The Best Man," a clever new
radio drama from the pen of Miss
Helen Norris, next Tuesday -night.
This new Norris play is said to
have a decidedly modern plot and
Is full of interesting situations
throughout. This will be the pre
mier broadcast of "The Best Man'
'and is made possible through the
courtesy of the California Ore
gon Power company.
