of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Thatcher,
who operate the Hytlu Park serv
ice station near Talent, is in the
Community hospital suffering from
a fractured left leg, the injury re
ceived Wednesday morning when
he was struck by a Chevrolet truck
loaded with wood. The accident
occurred at Talent. J. M. Mac
Dowel), who resides In the Ander
son creek district above Talent,
had taken his children to the Tal
ent school and was starting toward
Ashland with fiis Chev truck load
ed with wood. Mrs. Thatcher had

Mr. MacDowcll, the boy ran around
the rear of the Thatcher car, di
rectly into the path of his Chev
