The last regular meeting of the i
Egle Point -Grunge was one of the
most vnjoyabte In Its history, an
open social night given in .honor
of the opening of the new Eagle
Point Grange hall, which replaces
the beautiful Grange hall destroy
ed by fire last February.
- Several hundred people were
present from all parts of the-county.
Including a large number of
Medford business men and their
families.
A regular country hot dish sup
per, which was enjoyed by most
of those present, was served In the
basement dining hall of the build
ing. This was followed by a forum
in charge of A. C. Mittelsteadr,
master of the Grange, during whl-.-h
the Grange was congratulated on
Its energy, co-operation and buwl-ness-liko
community spirit by the
following: W. A. Gates. W. fi.
Holger, H. O. Frobnrh, Judge Spar-'
row. Ted Ur.ker, O. O. Alenderfer
and others.
After these talks The following
very Interesting entertainment pro
gram wos given, in charge of Mr.
J.uella Ward, lecturer of tho
Grange.
An orchestral number by the
Young Folks' orchestra, composed

have never missed u meeting. Thty
have certainly shown a true. Granite
spirit. A number of others have
missed only one or two meetings.
In the absence of the master,
the meeting was crapahly conducted
by Overseer Heed Charley.
The agricultural Committee was
reported busy on fair work. Chair
man Alma Meyer akod that u
number gather at the Lake Creelt
hall on Sunday before the fair,
and help to label fruit, arrang
grain, etc. She also asked thnt (i
few volunteer to gather moss and
evergreens.
Heed Charley, chnirmun of the
marketing committee, gave an in
teresting report on Pomona mar
keting committee meetings which
he had attended recently.
Hull -call and discussion occupied
the greater part of the evening.
The most important topic was th
question of making ourselveH more

The business of the Lithia Park
auto camp has increased must sat
isfactorily under the management
of W. E. Kissinger, who states that
people are turned' awr.y evory even
ing on account of lack of udequute
accommodations,, although five of
the ten new cabins plhnned for this
year haw already, been ; erected.
All of the older cabins are. being
filled and many campers are pro
vided 'with their own 'equipment.
This week one more old cabin' is
being torn down and a new mod
ern duplex started In Us place. TIVj,
delicatessen has doubled the vol
ume of hiTdness that It enjoyed
earlier In the .season, and the vol
ume.. seems to he limited only by
the capacity of the kitchen.
