A Word to the
Smart Young
Miss
Getting Ready
For School
-fr ngr hqjk iff "igr"f!)rm1P",'fr'ir"yir')r
SOON you and Mother will start
out to look for full clothes. Mother, as
usuul, will have her troubles in reconcil
ing your uncommon goodtaate with Dud's
good comr sense. No Rirl wants to
look like a dud but so many Mothers full
to give their daughters credit for having
style; they seem to think any old thing
is good enough for school when it is at
school that a girl is really on exhibition.
However, we are not worrying about the
outcome; you will be able to take care of
that. Our purpose is to caution you not
to be cajoled into making a selection until
you have seen the smart thirds we have
been getting together for stylish young
ladies like you.
Expert stylists who know what the
sub-debs of Smith, Vasur and Bryn
Mawr choose have helped us, and that
gives double assurance that you will be
one of the best dressed girls in school.
Many yeurs of experience in the world of
fashion have taught us that there are two
things sensible young women demand in
clothes: (1) just loads of good individual
style that cannot be duplicated ot every
store in town. (2) A price that will not
make Mother say, "that's just lovely but
I don't think it's quite the thing."
Wo kept both of these problems in mind
when we selected these new Kali fashions
at houses that specialize in clothes for Ju
nior League girls. They have got "it", and
when all is said and done they don't cost
any more than just commonplace things.
So if you are one of us rebellious young
women just dying to get away from pokeys
old "store clot'hes"that lock likethey were
made for the girls of the county poor farm,
bring Mother around and let's buvit it out
wilh her.
