The federal farm board indicated
today that it believed wheal grow
ers would be wise to refrain from
crowding the markets with their
producis at this time.
The board announced it had
made no statement, nor does It in
tend to forecast in any way con
cerning the proper price of wheat
for the market year, and described
the present tendency toward over
crowding terminals and trauspor
taiion facilities as "unfortunate."
The statement, to which verbal
amplification of any kind was re
fused, was interpreted as advice to
wheat growers to hold back their
product in order 1 hat better dis
tribution may be effected but wit li
mit the assu motion ()f the bo;itd 1
of any responsibility for llio even
tuality of wheat prices.
