2. tP) The Prince of Wales, rep
resenting King George at the
great world Boy Scout jamboree,
today shook hands with American
boyhood and fraternized with the
youth of all nations in a tour of
this great lent city of 50,000
youngsters.
Tho prince's call on the Ameri
can camp came at the end of a
tour which began shortly after
breakfast.
The American boys all looked
dry in spite of a long and Inef
fectual wait in tho rain, for tho
prince last night aud all but a
very few of the 1IJ00 boys were
waiting for him this time wiih
cameras. The neatly-uniformed
Americans, lined up to receive the
prince, looked like a regiment of
three -eyed soldiers two eyes in
their heads and one in their cam
eras. Many even had small movie
cameras.
The Americans had the time of
their lives when the prince visited
their camp and put up a groat
show for him. The prince told
Bra ndon il c I nernoy, 1 3 -yea r-o Id
Rochester boy who is regarded by
his companions as a golfing genius,
that he had heard of him from
Walter I-lii gen who had prophesied
a great golfing career for him. .
"You .have a long way to go be
fore you beat Ilagen. but always
remember this, keep your eye on
the ball and keep your head still."
said the Jieir to the British throne
as he shook hands with the youth.
