ial.) Medford - will do its part in
helping put across the Sunset Trail
celebration here next week by en
tering flouts In the Industrial and
plqneer parades, and sending the
Med ford post American Legion
drum corps, officials of the pag
eant announce. Members of the
various parade com m it lees highly
praise Med ford townspeople fur
their spirit in this event, a con
centrated effort to refresh in the
minds of the public Oregon's back
ground and fu.ure.
Eugene has called to the Mate
to help put across its celebration
and every person available is en
tering into the spirit of the show
it) great style, officials say. Med
ford especially is taking a prom
inent part and, besides entering
flouts, several hundred people are
expected to be present during the
three days, word received here
states.
RALLY IN : ASHLAND
Christian Kndeavorers pf Crater

niKht in Ashland park. A picnic
basket supper will be served at
6:30 or 7 o'clock.
A short meeting will follow, ip

family of Ashland spent the week

point above the Gardner place, and
as they were returning homo stop
ped at the Swanson home and
made a short call Sunday morn
ing. Mr. and Mrs. TCnrl Ilaldwin and
family of IJIggs, Cal., arrived here
Thursday evening. They are stay
ing at t he home of Mr. and Mrs.
M'oon at the present, until M r.
lialdwlu finds work. The Bald
win family left here last fall to
mak their home in California, hut
as most of them do, came back

where she was visiting with her
sister, Mrs. Orval Hendure.

of Med ford, who have been visit
ing Mr. Kodgers' parents, Mr. and
Mrs. H. K. lodgers, and sisters,
Miss Gladys and Dee. left the lat
ter part of the week for California
where they expect to make their
home for a while.
There were church services at
the schoolhouse last Sunday after
noon. Ilev. Miller of Grants J'ass
delivered, the message.
Prayer meeting was led by Wal
ter Hlaekman. His topic was
"find's Help to Cs in Temptation."
