letter being 1C0 wide and 300 feet
long. Saturday night at 8 o'clock
after an all-day task of construct
ing the letter, flares were lighted

against the Southern Oregon Stages

the Greensprlngs mountains last

rolled over a grade, following a

tour of that section. He reported
that In a 130-mlle stretch between
Burns and Palsely he saw unly
three -ranch houses. In the sage

automobiles. As a result of his
visit, over $300 worth more of auto
mobile licenses were sold to Har
ney county motorists. '
