Hunt's Craterian theatre last night
In the presentation of pupils of Eve
Henson'a dancing academy In nov
elty. Interpretative aud character
dances, and will appear again to
night. Each of the 12 numbers
presented drew forth generous re
sponse and displayed exceptionally
good dancing talent, although none
of the students is over U years of
age; and some as young us C.
A well presented, spirited g.vpH'
fiance was the first number on the
program. The following eight stu
dents were included: I-uvon An
derson, Ikireen Leverette, Marjorie
McNair, Porto 1'iitton. Arlene
Ames, Helen l'atton and UaXura
lleek. . (
A delightful Holland Kid num
ber was presented by George Hen
son and Harbara Holt, drawing forth
an exceptionally good renKime. In
a Japanese dance, Uretchen Mc
Allister, Barbura Bevans, liNura
llock and Harbara Franklin were
Uimli Tongue gins, wiuie ay i.e
Kevre and Harbara Holt were fan
soloists.
The ja.zz Idea was brought out
cleverly In a dance by IjtVon An
derson, Including a number of dif
ficult" rnccoon teps. A novelty
dance, Trloka, was especially well
enjoyed and presented Helen I'nt
ton and Doris ' l'atton as white
horses rind 1-aNnm Heck as a
black horse, all driven by a Jockey,
Noel HeiiHon, tislug long reins and

A toe number, l'lerelto, Is diffi
cult' "for even older dancers to at
tempt, but was carried through to
success by Marlorle McNair, I,a

Gretchen 'lleck. This number was
well received and included Kussiun
ballet steps.
Spirit, of the Night Winds was
done perfectly by Helen Wood, per
sonifying the Soft, movements of
the evening breeze, growing tem
pestuous , and then dying down
again.

clothing for the members to take
home for completion; she also re
ported that the Girl Hcouts vere
making sixteen children's gar
ments to be sent to department

used ,for ex-service men's families.
Now that the chamber of com
merce dinner, which was put on by
the auxiliary, Is a thing of the past
nil hands are turning to the next
big objective, poppy sales.
