ENJOYING LIFE IN
No "Whispering Campaign"
. can withstand the light of this truth: Lncky Strikes are made
from the finest of fine tobaccos the cream of the crop. Lucky
Strikes alone are toasted because toasting is a secret process.
20,679 physicians definitely state that toasting removes impurities.
Then, too, it adds Jo the flavor and prevents throat irritation.
Therefore, without fear of contradiction, we can say truthfully:

were on tho streets at that time,

- A peculiar feature about the
cold of last night is that while
the north end, in tho Central

coldest in the valley, the1 south
end was the coldest. This is ex

the fact htat there seemed to be

BUSINESS TREND
TOLDJPANS
"The Trend of Prosent Day Musi
ndss" was the subject ot an Inter
esting talk given before the Rotary
club this noon by Perry U. Armold,
president of the Armold Sales
Training Institute, who with his
wife, Mrs. Fay Meyer Armold, is
conducting a course of lectures at
the Hotel Medford this week
Mr. Armold said there were 23,
642 business failures In the United
States last year, a greater percent
age than ever before, but accredit
ed these to the inability of busi
ness men to readjust themselves
to the present-day trend.
Pssimism on the part of the busi
ness man not only undermines his
own business but subsequently de
stroys confidence and support of
the entire community In which he
circulates, according to the speaker.
.no merchant has a right, in this
generation, to demand that the
community support him," said Mr.
Armold. "It does not have to sup
port him. Travel to other towns
and centers Is too convenient. The
merchant's concern shoul be 'Jlow
can I serve my community to a
greater advantage? In this vvay
he evolves methods that creato i
demand for his merchandise and
his manner of disposing of It,"
The program, today was In
charge of Herb Alfotd.
