the labor leaders general strike
call and threw down their tools
after the Kencral luncli period.
A total of 100,000 men was In
volved. The trouble was believed
to he the outgrowth of a failure of
a conference between union repre
scnlatlvcs anil mill owners to dis
cuss the alleged victimization of the
workers In the Wadln, (troup jf
mills after the recent strike therr.

cotton mills except about a half
dozen and It was estimated that
130.000 men were now out.
