Trustworthy sources have
revealed a penitent letter from
former Crown Prince Carol at
Cannes, France, asking permission
of the Rumanian regency to re
turn to his homeland.
The letter was written to the
patriarch Mlron Christen, one of
the three regents who act for
Carl's son, thC boy King Michael.
It expressed contrition for esca
pades' and for his deserfion of
