last surviving cronies of Colonel
W. F. (Buffalo Bill) Cody, Is dead
at his home here. He had been ill
for a month.
As a boy of 11. Buelll left his
home Irt Baltimore, Md., and made
his way to Cheyenne. Wvo.. where
he became a cowboy. Indian flgnt-
and friend of Buffalo Bill. He
had resided here 33 years and had
served as a deputy United . States
marshal. He never revealed his
age.

Earlier In the evening Weckert's
five-ton truck smashed into a light

Kamsey finally found the truck
speeding up Corhett street. He
forced Weckert to halt. As the

Ramsey caught him . and the
large truckman began beating him.
The officer shot him and called an
umhulance. ,
Ramsey ' suffered severe cuts,
bruises and abrasions where Weck
ert struck him with a club.'
Virgil Weckert. a deputy sheriff
day ordered to .surrender;.- to the
United States marshal on May 1.1.
The order was Issued by Federal,
Judge McNary after it had been
requested by the United Stales dis
trict attorney.

five years and Wheeler threo
years, to McNeil Island. . Each
was fined $1000. They were con
victed of misapplication of funds
of the Northwestern National
bank, now defunct.
