HOUSE PLANS FOR
CITY UNDER WAY
I'lans for the community club
house, which originated with th?
C; renter 'Med ford club, and will
now Include all the nervice clubs
and the Chamber of Commerce, are
lielng considered in earnest and ac
tual construction of thin civic cen
ter will begin during the summer,
according to Mrs. fl. V. William,
president of the organization..
The first idea of ItuildinK the
clubhoune ncrosu from the high
school on ground offered by the
Hchool board, has been abandoned,
and several other locution! are now
under consideration. It In planned
to construct the women's section
of the building separately, with
their own entrance, according to
Mrs. Williams.
Provisions will he made so that
several meetings may he In session
at the name time, without conflict
or disturbance to ono another. An
attractive auditorium for the bene
fit of the little theater group
centty organized hero Is also in
cluded in the plans; nnd this will
also prived a place for visiting
speakers and for programs or con
certs sponaorod by the organiza
tions using the clubhouse.
The snle of cakes turned over
to the Greater Med ford club by n
recent cooking school held in Med
ford, netted the organization $JflO
last Friday evening, , This will be
used toward the construction of the
community clubhouse.
