I While Mr, Bancroft Is supported

: bis characteristic acting In the
' part of a big, virile and robust
! man of great physical and mental
strength, and his wonderful speak

tho Wolf of Wall Stroet, will live
an one of the best bits of acting
ever seen on any stage, In tho
opinion of thone who witnessed
last night's shows.
Mr. Bancroft In this film por

Will GASOLINE
Southern Oregon motortats tvilt
greet with enthusiasm the an
nounecinfcnt today, that Jtlchfieia
Ktliyl gasoline will be available for
tW'in one week from today. This
will mean that they may fill their
tanka with acarlet-hued Ethyl
fleatfd gasoline at any Clue and
gold Richfield station In the Rogue
Uivcr valley,
AVith tho addition of Ethyl com
pound, the "GauuKne of Power" in
becoming even more powerful
than before and Richfield users
will enjoy increase:! engine effi
ciency and aCded emoothncss. The
amazlmr Improvement that Ethyl
compound makes in the perfor
mance of motors was forcefuHy
brought out In an Interesting dem
onstration held at noon today at
tho Sixth Street servlco station,
Richfield denlcra. ' . ,
. Howard Relnhart, ' ful expert,
and member of tho Society of
Automotive) Engineers, conducted
this demonstration with the assis
tance of W. N. Sperling of the
Ethyl organization. Both Ethyl
treated Richfield and ordinary so
called "white gas" wero used In
this demonstration and the obvious
elimination of destructive detonat
ing was effected when the former
was employed.
"The character of gasoline, Is not
altered or carburetor changen re
quired when Ethyl treated gasoline
Is used,' Mr. Relnhart said to the
group of newspaper and garage
men. "When Ethyl gasoline was
originally introduced there was an
Impression In the minds of a few
that the added compound made
gasoline poisonous - consequently
dangerous for general Use. Those
who had this idea werd '--"misinformed
an Ethyl compound does
not poison gasoline and, in the
case Ot exhaust fumes, gives A
faint- warning bromine- odor to
odorless and deathly carbon town
oxide gas." j
Through tho elimination of de
tonation. Ethyl enables gasoline to
deliver more efficiency which re
sults In smoother motor perfor
mance; and materially increased
power. Hlxty-Tight percent of the
automobile motors produced today
are high compression, and Ethyl--treatcd
gasoline Is especially
evolved for this typo of engines.
The detonation which frequently
occurs Is due, according to Mr.
Roinhart, to the improper move
ment of air within the cylinder,
producing a sharp hit agulnut the
piston rather than an even, smooth
"push" bo necessary to motor effi
clelcy. Ethyl compound Is not a chance
discovery but instead represents
the efforts of chemists and auto
motive experts over a period of
nine years. Altogether, ovor 33,
000 distinct compounds were uncd
in experimental work and $3,000,
000 expended In research. It's con
tribution to the increased efficien
cy of modern-type automobile mo
tors is evidenced by the fact that
practically 100 per. cent - of the
racing cara and motor boats use
Ethyl-treated gasoline. -
Richfield has profited by exten
sive tests on the speedway, in the
air and on the water, and in pro
ducing a highly .effective fuel to
offer users of Richfield gasoline,
hat! blended their gasoline with
Ethyl Anti-Knock compound. This
brand new fuel will be offered
southern Oregou motorists .next
Friday, one week from today, ac
cording to Sear Is , Spencer, local
distributor.
