tain type of tube moving out on
production schedule. The attention
necessary to keep the test sets op
eration alike was considerable.
To overcome the defects of hand
testing, engineers of the Westing
hoitse Lamp fo. developed a ma
chine which picks up the tubes
from a carrier belt, automatically
performs each electrical lest, and
then sorts them by classifications.
The. machine has an electrical
