for competition in the next Olym
pic games to be held In Los An
geles. Most Olympic and A. A. U. offi

fect on the program.
"I do not think, it will have any

"There are tens of thousands of

carefully by the International
Amateur Athletic federation at Am
sterdam. Some thought that the
events wore perhaps too strenuous
but statistics show that the com
petition of girls and women had no
bail effect, with due consideration
to their condition at tlio time.
"Tennis and golf are. approved
'of. What about fencing'; That's
'all right, they say, vet they have
to strain just as much as if they
were in a dash, high jump or other
event.'
