mothers, Mrs. Oyer sent the poem
to him, saying she was auxiohs to
see it published. Thp verse was

wish was realized.
Mrs, Oyer was th mother of
eight children, t hre of whom
survive. None of her sons served
In the World war. but one,- Max
Oyer of Los Angeles, is a veteran
of the Spanish American war.
