A four-ton fishing bout with a
crew of four men was mise-int; on
Luke Superior today.
The boat, a gasoline launch, left
here Tuetday and was anchored
14 miles southeast of Duluth while
nets were laid. When tho launch
fnlled to return on scheduled time,
the United States coast guard sent
a life boat and the cutter Crawford
to search, but no trace of the boat
was found.
Gust Torgeson nnd, T. IV Seglen
of French River. Minn., who
owned the launch, woro two of the
four men aboard. Names of tho
others were not known here. Motor
trouble, It was believed, might
have forced the boat to float to
some objure Inlet in the south
shore of the lake.
