desired. "When the money taken from the peo
ple by taxation reached a certain point, pro
gress'and development is halted.
When it can be si own that a county of-'
ficial has conducted his office, or any departQ
ment of it, in such a manner that it is self
sustaining, and that the citizens' property doe
not have to lie levied npon to support it, that
official should be retained in office. This is
common sense; this is good business, and wc
are speaking to you as business men.

hibition law enforcement without costing the
taxpayers of Jackson County one dollar. .As
