There is no memory that rankles
so long in the heart of a child as
the recollection of punishment for
crimes he didnt mean to do
things that just happened to him
out of a clear sky.
The vase fell. The new suit
simply tore Itself. And heaven
only knows how the glass of milk
fell off the table.
Tim child, Intent upon climbing
a fence, is oblivious of the perils
the procedure holds for his new
suit, liis clthes, quite rightly, do
not occupy his attention. To ex-
poet a child to hold in mind such
adult values is to deprive him of
Ills own rightful and wholesome in
terests. The technique) of handling the
adult environment Is mastered only
after repeated exphnialions and
cnutionings have made plain that
such actions as placing a ';kiss of
1 milk too near the elbow, or turn
ting a cartwheel in the vicinity of
the mantelpiece, are almost cer
itain to have disastrous results.

projection room the director and
his cast were astounded to hear,

Movie Colors.
Movie slhrts and collars and bed
sheets, formerly tinted yellow or
pink to make them photograph
white, will be blue this season.
Under the new incandescent lights
blue makes a smoother white than
