conclave, praising the hospitality

handled. Through the legion's
clipping service tho commission
has received sufficient newspaper
stories as published In Oregon pa
pers, lo fill Iwo large scrapbouks.
As all this publicity wns of a com
mendatory nature, the commission
figures that n corresponding
amount of advcrllslng space would
have cost tills community around
5S.O00.
In commenting upon the work of
handling the convention, Chairman
McDonald declared llicre were very
few features of the program which
wore not carried through exactly
as planned by the commission, this
record being made possible
Ihrongh the co-operation of the
people of tho city as a whole. The
chairman declined to single out In
dividual members of the post for
commendation, but complimented
the entire membership for their
work by saying "you" were respon
sible for the success of the con
vention. The Ham Jackson memorial cm

work, was on display at the meet
ing. This emblem remains In the
possession of the post during the
year and was given to Medford
principally due to the activity of
lite local veterans In establishing.
