yesterday afternoon and last night,

oners, had been withdrawn to the
state armory.
Mill gates were sparsely picketed
today with the lone exception ot
the Whitman mill, where the dis
turbance started yesterday. At
that mill a line of several hun
dred pickets were on duty and a
crowd of over 2000 looked on.
Still defiant, as they were when
they picketed en masse at mill
gates last night contrary to police
