been taken by the city officials
after a thorough study of all the
bids and of the respective merits
of both the concrete and black

AlOUrtUS AppeOTS
Tonight, Tomorrow
Tho cnwi.emonL of Alhurtus is
to continue only for today and to
morrow, closing, on Sunday night.
Interest in his unusual perform
ance remains unabated with (lie
answering of questions being prob
ably the mopt interesting poritnn
of his show. Last night an un
usual tost in mental telepathy was
presented, the rending of want ads
in a newspaper selected by mem
bers or the audience, bein-'j; read by
Mrs. Alhurtus on the stage while
blindioldcd thro null mental sugges
tion given by her husband. News-1
bpnpers wore dbstribuUul through the
audience and people asked to se-,
lect any one from mnongHi thej
many, and as they were read men
tally Mrs. Alhurtus repeated then:
aloud without any hesitation. This!
remarkable performance is proof
thai mental science is an accom- !
plishcd fact. These tests will h" ;
given at the few rcmainiii-; per-
formances of Alburtus al the Kialto j
including the matinees.
