laymen more choice in administra
tive affairs were approved here to
day at the quadriennial general con
ference of the Methodist Kpiscopal
church. Ily a vote of 713 to 45 the.
conference authorized the holders
of lay conferences annually in con
nection with the regular annual
conferences. The lay conferences
would he limited to the considera
tion of matters relating to lay ac
tvities in the church.
