These five women, all former employe! of a radium corporation at
Orange, N. J., aro facing slow and certain death from the effects of
radium poisoning, according to medical authorities. Lawyers for tho
women say the poisoning was incurred as the women pointed with
their lips little brushes used in applying radium paint to luminous
watch dials. The women entered joint suit against the corporation
for $250,000 each to case the last days of their lives, but counsel
for the corporation moved that the case be thrown out of court be
cause of the statute of limitations, more than two years having
elapsed after the cause of action, The women aro Miss Grace Fryer,
Miss kathcrinc Schaub, Mrs. Albina Larice, Mrs. Edna Hussman
and Mrs. Quinta McDonald. Hearing in the case was set for May
22 in New Jersey chancery court.
