This provision Is regarded by
Representative Fort as tho funda
mentally objectionablo feature of
the bill aa he believes this would
be the machinery whereby prices
would be fixed, The equalization
fee. In his opinion. 1h merely inci
dental to this provision and du
vlsed to provide fundso put the
plan into execution.
Abolition of the equalization fee
without the repeal of the section
to which he objects, would make
the bill even worse, the New Jer
sey congressman said because iffts
expenses continent to tho execu
tion of the McNary-llauRcn prin
ciple would have to bo directly
financed by the federal treasury
without any opportunity for 'ut

sation fee collections.
