ment will bo held next week. The
women volunteered their services

Donald W.-Herlithy, penniless
soldier of fortune, lost his pass
port in Mexico and as a result
found a $200,000 heritage in
Seattle, Wash. Arriving there on
probation because he had no pass
port, Herlithy, down and out,
wrote to Bar Harbor, Me., for his
birth certificate. He got it and
also a notice that he was sole heir
to the fortune of his grandmoth
er. He bought a new suit and
started for Maine.

"The Way of Faith." the beauti
ful hymn composed by Mrs. Mary
O. Carey of I'hoentx, and sung last
Sunday in the Phoenix church, is
still being commented; upon by all
who have heard it!" The " words
ftjnd melody of the song were in
spirational, according to Mrs.
Mary Carey, but as she does not
play an Instrument, she was assist
ed in getting the melody written
by Mrs. Donna G raffia of Phoenix,
and Mrs. K. K. Gore, local piano
teacher.
Several copies of the music were
made by Miss Alice Holembeclt.'a
music pupil of Mrs. Gore, nnd the
composition is soon to ho publish
ed. The hymn which was sung in
the Phoenix church Sunday morn
ing, was so well received that it
was repeated In the evening.
