Not only are the big fish run
ning, but the small trout are en
tering the smaller streams from
the river during the high water
period.
Local fishermen, who get tu
work with their rods and reels as
soon as the weather clears up, will
be surprised to land many young
steel head of about two pounds or
less, ns they call be seen running
now with the big fellows, coming
up stream over the ladders ut the
Cold Kay dam. In fact It Is pre
dicted there will be more young
steelhead In the river and other
streams from now on than for
years past.
Chris (lottlieb Is one of the pol
ished amateur experts from whom
some of the above information was
obtained this forenoon, but he at
tho same time ventured the asser
tion that hardly any two of the
knowing local fishermen agreed on
all facts pertaining to fishing con
ditions. However, he said thta he,
Pug Isaacs and some of the other
thoroughbred piscatorial experts
usually agreed that the beHt tocl
head fishing comes along i bWuit

There are two school houses In the
Soda Springs district and the
trouble, according to one resi
