been In California, and were travel

Ashland, after having traveled to

Tests of Shenandoah wreckage by the
bureau, of standards show that the
condition of the metal frame work
was not in such condition as to lower
the resistance of the shtp.
This conclusion was reported today
to the Shenandoah naval court of inquiry-
Tests were made on moro than
two hundred specimens taken at ran
dom from the wreckage. Tlmro was

was Insufficient to affect the strength
of tho metal since the full strength
was not utilized in the design of the
