Department.. Members of the city police department are to take an active part in the campaign
to spread the gospel of "Safety" and acquaint the public with the city traffic ordinance, the
strict observance of which will assure greater safety for motorists and pedestrians.

CITY TRAFFIC ORDINANCE
SPEED (same as state law) 20 miles per hour; 12 miles per hour passing schools. Passing cars
at intersections prohibited.
The fire siren is a signal for all cars to pull to the curb until fire trucks have passed. Parking
near fire hydrants prohibited. Fire trucks have right-of-way: Do not drive over fire hose.
Use extreme caution when approaching intersections marked "SLOW" or "SCHOOL." No
parking on streets between 1:00 and 5:00 A. M. Cars restricted to one hour parking on marked
streets between 8:00 A. M. and 5:00 P. M. on week days.
