SAX FRAXCISCO, Nov. S (A. P.)
American paleontologlcal Blffuths
are on the trail of the "missing
link" and expect to find htm soon,
dead or alive.
That is the news brought back
from the Gobi desert in Mongolia by
Dr. Roy Chapman Andrews, noted
scientist, who Is en route to New
York today with a large collection of
fossils and other specimens of that
remote time when man is supposed
by evolutionists to have been a cave
person.
Dr. Andrews, . Mrs. Andrews and
their party arrived here yesterday.
The scientist led the third Asiatic
expedition from the American mu
seum of natural history. He Bald
before leaving for the east, that a
fourth expedition to the Gobi .desert
was planned to start in April', next.
The objeit of the expeditions is to
find material with which to recon
struct that portion of the story of
animal and human life which lieu
beyond the reach of history. All
members of the party are pleased
with the success attained and be
lieve the discovery of further links
in the chain connecting man with
lower forms of life is near. !
Dr. Andrews says the ninny and
startling things they found have
strengthened more than ever his be
lief in man's evolutionary develop
ment. Many fossils of reptiles, fish(
birds nnd mammals . were brought
back for the museum'. Among them
is a baluchithertuni, supposed to
have been the largest land mammal
that ever lived, it is supposed to be
3.000,000 years old. Implements o(
ancient manufacture are among the
relics. Proof that man lived when
many of the new extinct mammals
roamed the 'earth Is found in the
fact that marks on the bones of these
animals were unquestionably made
by men and the fact that implements'
such as spearheads, axe handles, etc.
were found In the same geological
strata In which the animal fossils
were found.

Aging in the tropics brings
rare, mellow' d Coffee Flavors
Good coffees improve with age. When' - - ' '
allowed to remain for two or three years,
unroasted, in riopic "warehouses, flavors
deepen and mellow an added richness '
results." Coffee is then at its best.
Prom such coffees is blended S & W. Thounh scarce,
adequate supplies of these rare aged coffees are secured.
To this blend is added just a trace of new coffee to
slightly emphasize the richn'es,of the old.
When you taste S & W Coffee for the first time yc - '1
say "unusual, very". But as you continue to use it
. your palate pleasantly recognizes the rial flavors of
truly fine coffees deep, satisfying, rich.
Aged coffees are not easy to secure because the great
demand for coffee requires prompt shipments from
the tropics and hence very little remains to age prop
erly. But with S&W Coffee, as with all other S&W
Fine Food Products, time and distance are no barriers
to producing the best that is humanly possible.
S&W Coffee is vacuum packed in the new key-can.
