A BIG- SUCCESS
One moro. hlghlt . enjoyable and
successful annual meeting of the'
Copco Forum has passed Into his
tory since last Saturday night when
the 1026 event was held nt the Ma
sonic Hall. Tho large hall was com
pletely transformed by a clever
scheme of decoration. In which the
I Hallowe'en season predominated.
Velio w nnd black streamers fes
tooned the ceiling nnd black and white
j witches paraded the tables In count
less numbers. Hallowe'en noise
makers and pom poms were distri
buted, belli)? enthusiastically receiv
ed nnd used by the merry diners.
The party was enjoyable for many
reasons; the tasty dinner prepared by
the ladies of tin KuMtern Slur under
I the able leadership of Mi's. Edna
( lssacs, the varied vaudeville enter
tainment, the large crowd, the jovial
j spirit . of good fellowship, and the
levying of money fines and asses t
ments by toast mauler Jack Parlridne.
who pb-ked out ns his speelal victim,
one Orlo Steele of Vrcka.
Due to tho attendance exceeding
the expectations of tho committee In
charge, extra tables had to be set,
and it Was considerable behind
schedule when, the 2.10 diners were
all sea.ted. During dinner several
vaudeville numbers were offered as
an entertaining diversion; Lloyd Wil
liamson and Margaret Huntoon each
sung a solo, monologues were given
bv Plutt Handall of Hosebtirg nnd
Wally Drew, and Hilly Fen ton pre
sented a Klpllnir poem In his best
i dramatic style.
After dinner was completed the
I meeting was turned over to Jack
I Kerr, who ns retiring president gave
'a resume of the activities of the past
j year and then called for the election
or officers. Alter ints important
, business was over It was found thnt
Tom Bradley had been elected presi
dent; Seth Hullls vice president;
Lono Dunlap secretary; nnd Steve
Benson t reasurer.
Following the Installation of the
new of fleers the floor was eiearcn
and dancing completed the balance
of the evening. Three entertainment
numbers gave tho dancers breathing
spells. Ruth Warner in Japanese
costume sung a selection from The
Mikado, Steve Benson and Billy Fen
ton put on a negro stunt and Lloyd
Williamson airfl Margaret Huntoon
sang a duet.
Expressions around the Copco
building this morning were all to the
same, effect; that it was "mime"
party, and one long to be remember
ed by all. .
