CKNTHAL POINT, Oct. 16. The
sophomore class of the local high
school gave a party last Wednesday
night to the members of the Fresh
man class. The affair was staged in
the gym, which had previously been
made ready for the great occasion.
Guinea, music, stunts in fact a little
bit .of everything took up the time
until a lute hour, when all departed
for their homes, tho happier for a
most pleasant evening.

tral Point H. S. class of '23 is teach
ing, in the Butte Falls school..
Al Hermanson has had a new lid put
on the front part of his feed store.
Al says ho didn't mind the grain get
ting wet, as wet grain is heavier and
he sells It by weight: but the darned
stuff started to ferment and he got
scared as It was rumored a "dry"
agent was prowling around.
Mr. and Mrs. K. M. Drysdalo. baby
daughter and Mrs. Drysdale's mother,
all of Myrtle Point, are visiting Mrs.
Urysdale's parents, Mr. and Mrs. K.

Iowa. At the latter place hn built
a splendid Institutional rhurch. Hit
next pastorate was Cameron Park
Hill church at Denver, and follow
ing, Alonto Vista, Colo. At Park
Hill lie laid tho foundations for . a
100.000 church plant. Mnrshfleld
was his next field, where he gave
four years. There he built a $0000
parsonage and n (125.000 Methodist
hospital. It seems that ho has a rec
ord for doing a few things besides
visit the old Indies.
