lc disapproval of A. Rlliic Todd, de
posed mayor of Kelso, Wash., und his
proposed mass meeting at the Kugene
Armory tonight has been voiced by
Mayor K. H. Parks of this city.
"I am against anything of this
kind, Mayor Parks said. "I cannot
see that an address by Todd on the
subject of the Dovery murder will be
of any benefit to the citizens of KU
gene. What he expects to gain by
coming here is beyond by comprehen
sion. It is Kelso's fight, and it should
stay there." t
Todd, when questioned directly as
to his purpose here said: '
"This is Dovey's home town rind I
want to awaken public sentiment to
the true situation. The newspaper
stories have been colored by corres
pondents and wore not true accounts."
Todd is contradicting the holdup
theory in the Dovery murder case and
declnres that Luko S. May, Seattle
criminologist, Is bungling the ense.
Todd stated yesterday that efforts
would be made to get Clarence Dar
row or some other lawyer of equal
prominence to hnndle the case ns soon
as his investigations were completed.

To make GENERAL Gasoline 'the' most efficient fuel
that a distinctive, modern refining' process can produce
and then to market it to the public as economically as
possible that is an important feature. of the policy of
General Petroleum Corporation.
And so, GENERAL does not and'will not compete with its
authorized dealers. Every GENERAL dealer 'is an independent,
self-operating business nun selected Carefully for fitness to serve
the public well and authorized to sell' GENERAL products.
t Consequently, all GENERAL Dealers are "home folks." Each
is interested vitally in the welfare of his community; each is de

neighbors for his own success Each sells GENERAL' because he
