WASHINGTONSCHOOL
DISTRICT ENLARGED
The boundaries of the territory
which serves the Washington school
were enlarged last night by Superin
tendent E. H. Hedrick of the public
schools. .The Washington district now
includes all that part of the city lying
south of Main street, west of the rail
road tracks and east of Plum and
Washington streets.
The A division of the eighth grade
at the Jackson Bcliool was also as
s;gned to Washington school.
, This change effects some 60 chil1
,dren- who were previously assigned to
Jackson school, but on account of the
increased population, in -that district
it ;was found that 'they ,conld be'-ais
easily ; handled '- at- tbe ;.. Washington
school, which for the niost part is
nearer their homeB. . . ,

BUILDING ANOIOAN
CONVENTION HERE
The Oregon League of Building &
Loan and Saving & I-opn associations
will hold their second annual meeting
in Medford Saturday, September 12,
at the Hotel Medford. Members from
all parts of Oregon will he present.
The meeting will laBt but one day.
commencing Saturday morning at 10
o'c'ock and adjourning that evening
with a banquet bs tlse closing event
of the day. Officers will be elected
and regular business routine will be
go'e over durng the session.
The .following day the members
present, of whom 40 are ejected, will
take a Sunday trip to Crater lake,
after which they depart for their re
sptive homes.
The first meeting wbs held Bt Port
land last year and beforei that time
the associations had met in only , an
informal way. " .
WEDDING BELLS
At seven o'clock Saturday evening,
September 5, .1925, at the First Meth
mtitt KpiHcopal church, Mr. Ernest
E. Hagie and Miss Heathea Moy were
united in marriage by the Kev, VII
lard De Yoe, These youns people
were accompanied by the father and
mother of the ,bride, all of Klamath
Falls. The Episcopal ring ceremony
was used. Mr. and MrR. Haste will
reside on a farm near Klamath Falls.
They wilt-take a few weeks auto trip
for their honeymoon.
OBITUARY
' PARSONS-rMrs, Lorraine Hascal!
Parsons passed away at her home on
Siskiyou Heights. Hillcrest road, Sep
tember 8, aged 72 years. Mrs. Par
sons was born at Waukeshau, Wis.,
December 4, 1852, and was married to
George Howland Parsons in New York
City, June 19, 1872. From this union
one son, Reginald H. Parsons of Se
attle, Wash., survives. Mr. and Mrs.
Parsons made their home at Colorado
Springs, Colo, for 18 years. George
II. Parsons died in 1898. Mrs. Parsons
. has made her home In Medford for
the past 11 years. She was a mem'
ber of the EpisciMial chuich and leaves
one slBter, Alllg F. Hascall, living in
New York City. The remains of Mrs.
Parsons will lie Bnnt to Seattle Friday
morning and the funerul services will
he held In that city.

at eight o'clock, in the presence of

Kewland, -The ceremony, was spoken
by tho Itcv. Wilard De Yoe.'and after
congratulations the happy ..couple im
mediately left for a two weeks honey
