der of those killed are recovered.

A roaring wall of water, twelve feet
high, swept down from the canyon
upon the Croat Northern railway ter
minal at Sprlngwater, picked up five
dwellings in its 100-yard -.path, tore
them to splinters and hurled the three
story Hpiingwatci' hotel, a .frame
structure, sixty feet across the street.
The building crashed Into the Termi
nal hotel, wrecking it. i '
. The dHRstor came without warning.

attempted to escape, but many wera
