A cur of blackberries from the Rag
ley. Canning company's plant was
shipped early this week, consigned to
a largo wholesale house In Ohio. This
Is the first carload of this fruit 'In be
shipped from Southern Oregon. The
car contained six hundred dozen cans
or about 3S.000 pounds of fruit, repre
senting a payment of $ 1 ttou to the
growers. The berries wero grown In
tho Applegate country and until thl
year were never harvested. They
