Of course, those who have charge
of tho mngtizfno will offer excuses,
local citizens declare, and attempt to
pass the buck, but they claim this Is
no reason why n map with such gross
errors should appear in this magazine.

New York Kvening World today says

pires and he signs a new one.
A .slump In his batting which is now
under .tiafl for tills season, will result
in reduction in his pay, says the dis
patch. When the present season ends Kuth
will hike to the Canadian woods to
get his legs into shape and try to re
cover his batting eye. thereby pre
venting the salary reduction, accord
ing tn the dispatch.
"Manager Muggins and the Yankee
officials," it says, "have talked mat
ters over with the liumhhio and they
did not mince any words in explaining
to him that he would face a big cut In
his salary unless ho changed his tactics."
