THE FORMULA.
RICH man died the other dayjhe had sot
bones; and just liefore he passed away,
and throbbing tones, ".Success in
wlio iv not afraid to sweat, who pay all bills when they're re
ceived, and never, never go in debt. Be cranks, young men, on
payirig bills this is my message to you all;" and then refusing
furOier pills, he turned bis wim face lo the wall. He started
business poorly fixed, he had some hundreds, it is said; he never
pivt his mottoiw mixed, lie paid bis bills and went abend. "I'll
lay up always ns I go itud go no further than I pay;" these
Vere the wonts he used to throw around about hint every day.
And soon he had a fine renown that circulated everywhere; ho
always paid the money down when any bill was just and fair.
A reputation of this kind is better than a pedigree, and he who
hears it soon will 'find that all tjic world's his Christmas tree.
So in a few hrief busy years this man accomplished splendid
things, was fiffnous in three hemispheres, from Birmingham to
Holly Springs. Kevered, respected and admired, at last he felt
his work was done; he gave his mcxsnge and expired a mes

Exposure of the body to direct
sunlight and open air is curative in
various forms of tuberculosis and
other low grade, chronic or long

Some characteristic, as yet uniden

Most of the physical - or chemical
effects of sunlight arc produced by
the, invisible rays beyond the violet in

ultra-violet rays. Sunlight Is the
richest source "of ultra-violet rays,
though practically the mercury vapor

times the amount of effective ultra

sunlight.
Certain food materials which are
ordinarily poor sources of vitamins
may be activated by exposing them
to ultra-violet light,, so that they
will yield to the animal or human
body necessary vitamins.
No one knows ns yet precisely
what a vitamin Is, but physiologists
have proved that apparently foi? or
possibly more of these unidentified
food factors are essential in The diet

For emphasis- let us repeat that
some foods, such as the vegetable
