this morning, robbing a man of $U6, a
restaurant of 26 d a pool hull of

The robbery was committed Mn .the
Monogram restaurant, operuted In con
nection with Hen's smoke house aim
pool room at 4 o'clock a. m.
The night cook at the all night res
taurant, reported the hold up,, saying
that three men entered the place, or
dered coffee, and paid for it. After
Irinking the coffee, the strangers
bought two cartons of cigarettes. The
cook, who is In charge of the cigar
counter , at night, made change on thn
othoe side, turned, and found two of
tho men. pointing revolvers at him.
While tho two men held the guns on
the, cook, the other rifled the cash
registers, taking $25' from one, and
$5 ond $G in small change from the
other. They then went through their
victim's clothes, taking faway of
his own money.
Tho holdup, reported to night pa
trolmen of the Eugene police depart
ment and later to the sheriff's office
was at first connected with the rob
bery, at the Towne Shoppe, as the
theft in Eugene was discovered Just
about tho time of tho robbery in Junc
tion City.
This theory of the officers wfas fur
ther heightened by the statement that
tho Junction City robbers left on the
Pacific highway, going north in a light
automobile.
The sheriff's office is making a
careful investigation of the Junction
City hold up, and police In towns north
