(soon, and from 6 to 6 per cent On
incomes over $8000.

pared down from 40 per cent to' 15

number of years prospecting and de
veloping one of the most promising
gold hearing ledges' has been dis
covered by J. T. Brntton of Portland
and Roscoe Brntton, former, owner of
the' Peerless Clothing Store, Orants
Pass. The property is known as the
Gold Wonder Mine and Is located on
Coyote " creek near ' the famous old
Greenback mine. At present the
owners have approximately 600 feet
of funnel Work, having opened' up
a new crosscut tunnel of 250 feet
within the past few weeks. This
tunnel crosscuts the vein-about 200
feet below the surface whore the
vein shows well In place and Is ap-
proximately 45 reel wide.
. According to -.present development
on. the, ledge, Mr. Bratton states It
haB been proven to an extent of. 000
feet In' length and to 800 feel' in
depth, nnd, conservatively estimating,
it qhould . produce around . 300,000
tons of ore at a low cost. . Within
the last ten days they have - cut
