lous dog section, a Douglas' county
has but nine. Hood ftiver five, Grant
six and Sherman three. In the entire
state there are only. 11,801 dogs.
In 1924'there were 233 .dogs in this
county, according to the '.Licensed
issued. '
The shortage of dogs is thought to
be due largely to the diffidence . sf
owners in paying licenses for them.
When Cnauncey Plo'rey was county
clerk he estimated there were 3500
dogs in the cognty, at the minimum.
