although Pratt, playing In fine form,
had held him. even for the first eigh
teen holes. Egan will meet W. J.
Noonan, Tacoma, in the semi-finals.
Noonan climlated Roy Moe of the
Eugene, Ore., country club four and
two, holing one 100-yard mashte shot
and any number of long putts to do
so.
Playing the morning round Willing
was two up on Watson with a 38 to
the .Spokane lad's 40. but the next
nine holes developed the most thrill
ing .golf of the tournament. Every
hole but the eighteenth was played In
under par figures, Watson's medal for
the nine showing only 31 strokes
while Willing had taken but 32, and
the Portlander was still two up, a
difference, of two strokes at the sev
enteeth rhole. account for the differ
ence between the mod til score and the
match play result.
Bad form was shown by all four
participants in the semi-finals. The
men who displayed such splendid form
Thursday faltered noticeably In tholr
games this' morning over eighteen
holes, but hoped to Improve upon their
games In the afternoon eighteen holes.
Both Watson and Stoll were con
stantly in trouble while Noonan was
far off form.
Egan finished the first nine holes
three up on, .Noonan, but the Tacoman
retrieved oneof those holes on the
