future of Governor Smiths owing to
reports that he plans to retire from

In the hands of the vivacious and talented Donna Voorhees, the
role of orphan Judy, Intelligent and aspiring slavey who Is adopted by
an ' unknown benefactor whom she names Daddy Long Legs, will be
splendidly enacted. Jeanne Chandler, character actress of long ex
perience and successful reputation, will take the trying role of Mrs.
Llppett, while Harriet Eells Is cast as Miss Prltchard. James McBrlde,
college boy aspirant for Judy's hand. Is excellently done by James Pur
coll. Daddy Long Legs (Jervals Pendleton) who Anally falls In love
with his ward and eventually wins her will be done by Mr. Lawrence
Johns, on of the most capable leading men of the stone.

One of the big events of the two
weeks' sports during the National
Ciuurd Field Training camp will bo
the auto and motorcycle races nt the
fair grounds tomorrow and Sunday af
ternoons. The auto trnclehns been put in good
shape, thero have been a number of
entries from nil over the northwest,
nnd everything indicates the races will
be very good.
There will be four nuto races each
day, two of six laps or seven miles
each, one for 10 laps, 11 miles, and
one for 25 laps or 28 miles.
The length and number of motor
cycle races will not he determined un
til tonight, but there will be three or
four each day.
The gates will open nt 12:30 nnd
the rnces will start at 2.30 p. m.
The price of admission. Including
war tax, is adults $1 ; children 00c,
